Foxboro (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd was established as a result of a joint venture between Progressive Impact Technology Sdn Bhd (”PITECH”), owned by Haji Zaid Bin Abdullah, and the Foxboro Company, based in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
During that period, the Foxboro Company was owned by a British-based company called Siebe PLC. Within Foxboro (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, PITECH maintains a majority equity stake of 51%, while the Foxboro Company retains the remaining 49%.
The Foxboro Company became part of Invensys PLC following the merger between Siebe PLC and BTR PLC resulting in the formation of Invensys PLC.
Invensys PLC, specifically its automation solution division known as Invensys Operation Management Systems, has established itself as a prominent global leader that offers comprehensive range of systems, solutions, software, services, and consultation in automation and information technology.
In January 2014, Schneider Electric acquired Invensys PLC.
